This is a 1 day (6 hour) Paediatric First Aid Course that provides Parents, Carers, Childcare workers and all those with responsibility for children with the fundamentals and practical life-saving skills necessary to deal with the common medical emergency that happen at home or in the workplace. All participants will be provided with a detailed insight into these medical emergencies and learn how to practice a wide variety of basic first aid skills that will allow them to deal these common illnesses and injuries with confidence. This Paediatric First Aid Course is commonly referred to as a Parents First Aid Course. The course covers topics such as: emergency planning, assessing a situation safely, basic lifesaving support, CPR, shock, Bee stings, Burns, internal and external Bleeding and a wide range of everyday common illnesses and injuries.
This Paediatric First Aid Course is designed in accordance with Health and Safety (HSA) legislation and fulfils all obligations enclosed within ‘The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007’. This course is certified for two years and facilitated by registered and HSA/PHECC approved instructors.

According to the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, it requires employers to provide the necessary first aid training within the workplace.

Cost
- Public instructor led Paediatric First Aid training in Dublin is €120 per person.
- Private instructor led Paediatric First Aid training onsite is €500 per session. With the price broken down, it costs €50 per person (max of 10 people).

Certification
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate approved by Safety Training Ireland.
- The Paediatric First Aid training course is valid for 2 years after which recertification training is required.
